What's fueling all the recent hiring at Express Jet? Where are all the FOs going? Is the company desperate for right seat fodder?

With momma CAL "possibly" beginning to hire in the summer (off the street), do you think the drive will intensify?

Right about now they are hiring 64 a month with 64 upgrades. That is about all they can handle. Desperate is a strong word, but yes they are still hiring. They just brought on a bunch of Indy-Air guys and they are preferentially (sp) interviewing other furloghee's. So the bar might be a little higher to get in off the street. I have heard that competitive mins are in the 1500-2000 hour range with some turbine time.(Don't let that discourage you)

There apparently is a huge back log of online-apps so it takes a up to 4 months to get a call for in interview.

New Hire F/Os are mostly getting CLE or EWR. A few guys are getting lucky (if you can consider IAH lucky) and are getting IAH. But they always get you to your base of choice eventually for me I got sent to CLE and got advanced to EWR in about 2 months.

thanks for the kind words, bud, but I am pretty happy where I am right now

just looking at the mins and how people get riled up about it made want to ask this question
