Does anyone know the recency requirements for ASA or for any other regional currently Hiring? Have a friend who hasnt flown in a while but is familiar with the CRJ and has the hours to be hired. Thank you for your input.

If you're not current, you should go out and get current. ASA will not interview you if you have 300 hours, but haven't flown in 2 years. There are lots of places hiring CFIs, and you would only have to instruct. Another option is to take an advanced jet course to get some recent training under your belt before you attempt an interview.

ASA is only accepting about 45% of the people interviewed at this time. If you aren't current, you may get an interview, but you most likely won't get hired since you will have to make it through the sim ride.

Call a pilot recruiter, and talk to them. They will tell you what your friend should do to get an interview. 404-766-1400 Ask for the HR receptionist.
