Read Why the Left Hates America

I'll never understand them. Luckily these radical groups can do little harm. They are just a very vocal minority that has been relegated to academia. These people will never get elected to any major position. When they become violent, they are dealt with by law enforcement. Let them say what they want, so I know whom to boycott. I certainly won't be seeing any Woody Harrelson movies or giving money to that liberal bastion of a university I attended. When these people try to support families and get real jobs, their records will catch up with them. Have you guys ever interviewed a pilot candidate whose record included a misdemeanor offense for civil disobedience? Would you hire that person?

As a country of laws, we have a lot of trouble as we attempt to balance the rights of victims and the rights of accused and/or convicted criminals. This is because of freedom, and the fact that criminals, by their nature, reject the constraints on their behavior that guides the actions of our law enforcement structure. For instance, criminals feel free to just start shooting at people, whereas police and armed citizens shoot only when forced to defend others or themselves.

When terrorists come to attack us, they take advantage of the very freedoms that they say they hate. They arrive through uncontrolled borders, learn how to use aircraft as weapons, and they pass among us unnoticed until they execute their destructive plans. Paradoxically, before they attacked, they drank alcohol and viewed nude dancers, in contradiction to the ideas that allegedly drove them to destroy us.

When the left attempts to form our country into a socialist state, they are also taking advantage of the freedoms that we enjoy. In other countries, they would have been "necklaced" by Nelson and Winnie Mandella, or sent to a labor camp by Kim Il Sung. Their ideas would be almost comletely repressed in a country where they would speak out against government policies.

When viewing the constitution, the Left sees an anachronism, full of unprogressive ideas and freedoms which they consider to be dangerous. The Left's motivation is benevolent elitism. They really do think that they have the only logical -and superior- ideas about the nature of America. They are, in a word, "better" than you and I, though they would never say so publically. They are, on the other hand, ready at a moment's notice to belittle and scold anyone who disagrees with them. When their ideas are shown in the light of day, they cannot agrue their worth, so they can only resort to ad hominum attacks on the person who dares to disagree.

We need the Left, and we always will. They remind us of what we could become, should we not be vigilant in our support of American ideals, the constitution, and our culture.

Besides, I get a good laugh every time I see Woody being arrested for hanging off the Golden Gate Bridge.
