I worked Line service at RVS and a DC-3 came in late one night. The FED's showed up checked the plane out and wanted to see the pilots around 7 in the morning. Unluckly the pilots were resting up in our Pilot lounge.

Been ramped twice in 13 years.
It was on a DC-8... I had a screw missing out of an engine pylon. LR25

Out of the pylon!? kind of makes me think of DC-10's and engines falling off... guess it was a sheet metal screw.

Hey Cessna did you work for Christiansen at RVS? I played many games of pool there flying for OU!!(Go Sooners) Also ate too many cookies as well:D

Douglas

Well, heres the thing about Douglases.

They are built like tanks.

The fastners on the pylons are Douglas fastners, I forget what they even call them, but anyway the pylon structure are a structure all to themselves, one of the toughest parts of the airplane.

You could have half of the fastners missing and it wouldnt have an impact on them.

Long live the douglasoures.
