Sh*t happens. It's not good to judge a company by an instance of a single pilot situation. Single pilot 135 has got to be rough at times. Leave it alone. Ram Air is a rapidly changing company and that makes it even harder on the pilots. Give the guys a break. Ram Air has always been well known for their high quality of training but archaic fleet.

Another Lear Misconception..

RAM guys are not aloud to comment on negative stuff on a public forum, so you might not get any confirmation about this.

It's not that we are not aloud to comment on things, we can say anything we want, but that's not a smart thing to do. Most of us have the good common sense not to comment until the report comes out. Hopefully when we read the NTSB (and we do) we can take something positive away.

Besides, a career is probably ruined with a major accident and an A/C has $40k+ of damage and is out of service for a while, not to mention what it could all do to insurance and potential raises. No need to pour salt in the wounds. Bottom line is we were not there, we didn't see what happened and have no room to talk. You are all one simple switch flip away from a bad day. There are those that have and those that will. Knock on wood...don't do nuthin' stupid.

Big Dog is right. We should all reserve judgement until the NTSB report comes out. Its too bad Ram Air's management doesnt think that is appropriate. Who cares if a career gets destroyed in the process?

Just wondering if anyone knows about jump seat priv's with Ram air. I am seriously thinking of sending my resume in and have done a lot of research, but can't seem to find this one answer.

Jumpseating

We have privileges with Southwest only.

Phone Interview...

The call is very straight forward, it should last about 10 minutes or so. It is to verify your information you have sent to Ram so far and to determine if you are eligible to be hired and pass a checkride. (Have IFR PIC 135 mins and can fly a PA32R w/ IFR GPS down to mins) If all that is good it is highly likely you will be invited to attend class a few days later with another call.
