Any truth to the rumor that Chautauqua is going to fly some of their "like-new" CRJs in the US Airways system?

i believe that they are, in generic colors to get IOE finished on the initial cadre. then they'll go to the paintshop to get full CO colors. that is the murmur at least

Yep. 2 to be flown Dec/Jan to complete IOE for check airmen.

Where u hear this? I heard nothing about that. RAH is already boning us with E170's and 75's. Why would US add more 50 seaters to the system when they are trying to rid themselves of them. Just a stupid rumor.

Maybe they would subsitute 2 ERJ's for 2 CRJ's...doesn't sound to crazy aside from the fact that Airways is opening the door for delays, cancellations, etc, etc.

We have a winner. Currently have some system spares flying full time in the Airways system, that will be pulled so CRJ CKAs can receive and perform IOE. No change in amount of 50-seat airframes until we start transferring to the CO operation.
