Just saw on the news that Gordon Cooper passed away today. The United States, and the world for that matter, has lost a great pioneer.

I will cherish forever my Project Mercury Ops Manual, and my grandfathers Project Mercury scap book. The pictures he took and the momentos in it are incredible. I will pull it out tonight in memory of Gordo.
