Insurance

Yes most insurance companies want to see sim based training in jets and many t/p's. However, one route you can go is do a type rating course in the aircraft than do a FSI or Simuflite recurrent after the type. The insurance companies will accept that and it is usually less expensive than the full FSI or Simuflite initial. I did that on the Lear. Another thing in that favor is that unless you meet certain requirements, if you do your inital jet type in the sim, you will have a restricted type rating until you get 25 hours of IOE.

getonit. Since you already have experience in the aircraft, talk with Simuflite or FSI and see what they can do in the area of an upgrade/recurrent. It takes an extra day above recurrent. It might fall close to your price range.

Flight Crew Systems is now approved for WIA funding in Illinois. If I get furloughed, I am going to call Mr. Parrish immediately.

Do it. You won't regret it.

As you may have gathered, I was extremely satisfied with my experience with the school.

PM me if you need any info about the program.

Re: Tax deduction

PS-The course with Mike Pappas is exactly how Jim described. After you pay your deposit you will be sent the Citation POH. Read it beforehand; Mike wouldn't let us take notes in class. [/B][/QUOTE]

Why won't he let you take notes?

The best that I can recall was he felt that his lectures were proprietary or something. It's been too many years for me to remember exactly. It just seemed odd.

Nonetheless, I reiterate my recommendation about the course.
