Hi all, fairly new user but been around a little. Anyway, I am sitting on close to 1100 hours Total Time, I have 80 hours of it in twins. I just got approved for a loan which I can use it to get to 100ME, or get my MEI. The problem is that I have financed much of my flight training on credit cards and am in pretty deep. So I was wondering if anyone out there had any suggestions. Thanks in advance

welll man,
just get used to being broke. Keep CfIIing it up and dont put ANY more money into multi time. Sh|t be a safety pilot etc... on multi ect... Sounds like u put you crap time in, well the start of your crap time, so just cfi it for now and grab what multi time u can. Fly for free on 135 flights with the chief pilot and log it as duel rec. (wash the aircraft for free) ect.. pay off what u can. Oh ya, love life first and the family, work comes and goes...
good luck

i hear a little outfit called continental express is hiring
forget the mei, just get some quality ME time, shooting approaches and try to get in while it's hot

Mei

Get your MEI. Paid flight time is far better than paid-for flight time. In the meantime, although you're light on multi, it would not hurt to apply to ExpressJets. It hires at very low times, something like 700 total and 100 multi. You just might be called.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Gotta agree with bobby on this one. (Not that I know anythingabout it, but this is my opinion). With 80 ME, get yourMEI. That should take you around what, 10 hours? Okay so in10 hours you'll have the MEI and 90 ME total, another 10 hours of MEtime and you can apply to XJT with MEI on the resume. Looks goodon ya.

Just don't apply until you have the actual 100hrs. in your logbook, otherwise that is an autromatic disqualifier.

Get the MEI, it will add another 6-10hrs of Multi-PIC in your logbook and then talk all your buddies into getting their ME addon with you as the instructor. You'll be over 100hrs in no time!

After the MEI, cut the credit card up...
