800 total
600 of it 172 time and about 100 ME

Where to apply? Currently a CFI and it's starting to get boring, fast.

Thanks

Get another 200 TT and apply to eagle. I also heard than XJET lowered their mins to 800/100

Are you kidding? With your times you could try traffic watch, banner tow, or pipeline patrol if they have it in your area. I can only imagine how much fun it must be for your students...

Great Mistakes during the days of Pomeroy would have been a sure bet, sadly I hear he has moved on to greener pastures + furloughs will not help your cause. I had much less when I was offered a position there but hell those were the days when Spencer Iowa still came into play. Ahh.. the good ole days.

If you are willing to fly for peanuts then give ExpressJet a shot, apparently they just lowered the minimums to 800TT.

I don't know of any other regional that you would have a shot with at your times. Keep building the time up, you have come this far so what is another couple of hundred hours?..........

good luck,

It sure didn't take you long.

You need to be patient. Two comments:

(1) From my perspective, it is mind-blowing that any regional would have mins under 1000 hours. Most of them do not. Even so, you are still very light on time, and I would say that competitive quals will still be much higher than published minimums. So, keep building time. You could start applying as you approach published minimums for these regionals and update. You still need more multi.

(2) Try to have a better attitude about your current employment. At least you have a flying job in a poor hiring environment. There are thousands of qualified and over-qualified pilots who would love to have your job.

Good luck.

If you are bored, why don't go somewhere where they can teach you something, put some hair on your nads and make you some money while doing it.

I was at Home Depot yesterday, I saw a "Help Wanted" sign on the window... Also, I think Menards might be hiring too... Oh, and Wal-Mart, they always seem to be hiring...

Hope this helps...

(800 TT and bored already... Boy did you pick the wrong career...)

Thanks for the thoughtful comments. After some searching, I've realized that it will take some time to become comptetive. But it's always helped me to have a goal or a target in mind.
