There is a rumor going around that UPS HR is starting to contact swimmers in the UPS Pilot Pool and asking them to update their resumes. Do any of you poolees have any info or proof to the rumor?

Thanks

I been swimming for two years, and have not heard anything yet !

How credible is the source of this rumor ?

Not that this means anything but....

It’s Rumor Control Friday—and our first rumor comes from Ken xxxxx. Ken says he heard from several excellent sources (in the cafeteria) that prospective pilots in the UPS hiring pool are being called by Human Resources and asked to update their resumes. Ken wants to know if there could be hiring in the future. System Chief Pilot Tom Keating tells IPNN he doesn’t foresee any hiring in the “immediate future.”

I think individual poolees may update their resume when they change jobs or make other significant changes to their profile. Any action is most likely a result of poolees contacting HR and not the other way around. Latest I hear, which seems to be confirmed here, is no hiring til 2004. On the bright side, only 9 months til Christmas.
