Arrived at the UPS feeder ramp tonight got out the plane, opened up the door so the rampers could start unloading the plane. Shortly thereafter a UPS ramp supervisor tells me I must wear my bright, lime green dayglo vest while I am outside of the aircraft-this was in broad daylight!
Apparently this is a new policy due to some unfortunate person being run down on some other ramp in the UPS system. So, UPS pilots, do you have to wear such a vest when you walk to and from your aircraft or, when you are doing a preflight?
