Lets try to keep this thead informative and not turn into where going to staple you to the bottom of our list crap.

Personally I don't want a merger and would prefer for CAL to stay independent. However if a merger does come to fruition lets let ALPA Merger Policy (the process) work its way out to determine the new seniority list. Hopefully the first two phases of the process, negotiation and mediation will lead to a new list Vs. the unknown of binding arbitration.

Then we can work together fight the common enemy (management) and negotiate a contract that rivals your (UAL) Contract 2000.

The purpose of this thread is to exchange information between line pilots of CAL and UAL. Obviously our merger committees already have this data and it is not confidential. But I would certainly like to know what a pilot on your current list can expect to hold. Generic non confidential stuff.

For example at the following relative seniority percentage of your seniority list what could one expect to hold? I also understand there will be a difference depending on base size and location but just big picture info.

10%
25%
30%
50%
70%
90%

I'd be happy to research our latest system bid and give you the answers for our side of the fence.

Thanks and I hope whether we merge or not both of our pilot groups regain what we have lost to possessions and start to take back our industry and profession.
