Question for the Jetblue boys

What is the latest rumor or information concerning a crew base out of Long Beach? Heard lots of rumors,
this year, next year, even heard of Oakland as a possible crew base? Lots of rumors, what the hell
is the latest skinny?

West Coast base...

Long Beach base opening this fall. It was announced about 2 weeks ago by jetBlue management to the employees.

About 30 crews to start, possibly up to 70 crews in the future.

As was announced at the ATL AirInc conference this weekend, there is an "analyzation" process taking place now. We're not really at liberty to discuss what is still close hold info.

However, "surf's up" was also announced in ATL for the location. Time frame is also close hold info (since it's a publicly traded stock most things are until the press release goes out) but more than likely it'll be announced sometime this year.

Sorry about being vague. That's the way Dean asked us to handle the specifics in ATL.

With the opening of LGB, I'm wondering if my LA-area residence will help me get an interview....so far my A320 type, 10,000 hours of jet time and 2500 hours of glass-cockpit time aren't doing the trick!
