If you have a post that is meant for the people who frequent a specific forum, and it gets moved to "non aviation chat", how is it supposed to reach its target audience?

Stop moving threads. It really annoys people. If no one wants to read them, no one will reply and they will disappear on their own. Free market kind of thing.

While im on the topic, there are far too many forums that are too specific. Majors, Regional, Cargo is all you really need.

Example: If you want a major airline pilots opinion on renting aircraft and you post under "AIRCRAFT RENTALS" you can bet that you wont get what you are looking for. The first page of threads on that forum goes back 5 months. No one looks at it. But if you post it under MAJORS it gets moved.

Sometimes less is more.

Just a shot in the dark, but maybe your posts are off-topic for the forums you're posting them to?

(This "Question for Moderators" posted into the "Majors" forum--clearly not on-topic--instead of the "Forum Feedback" one, for example.)

Just a thought...

Nah, that ain't it. My last post just got moved to videos since that what it was. But it was an interview with our CEO and CAL , which is major airline related. For future posts, I will be posting under two ro even three categories to try to prevent this from happening. Kinda like EBAY.

Its also rhetorical for the people in this forum. Most people dont look in every forum. If you want to talk to the people in the majors forum you should post there regardless of what the topic is.

Case in point. You had a video you wanted us (the people who visit the majors forum) to see. It gets moved to the "video" forum and will be seen by very few.

MODERATORS: you are way overthinking this site when it comes to the number and specificity of forums. Less is more.
