What kind of passenger and bag weights do you guys use?

How do you calculate whether or not your CG is within limits? Do you use a whiz wheel or a fancy chart?

Just trying to get a feel for how its done elsewhere.

WOW, high tech. We used a chart on the back of the log can. I hated those things.

How about both? Here we use 190 year round.

Bags are always 30 as well.

Is each pilot issued a Jornada or is it bolted into the airplane?

Weights are 170/175 summer/winter, but that's due to increase in August I hear. Standard bags weigh 30 lbs, "heavy bags" 50 lbs. Sounds like the Q200 is gonna be about a 34 seat airplane on many routes once the weights go up, although they may do a recertification to up the ZFW.

Each captain is issued a Jornada (these days it's mostly iPaq's actually). Oh yeah, the W&B is done by the captain at QX.
