Question For Fed-Ex Pilots

Am curious - how does weather affect flying at a company like Fed-Ex. I read that most of your planes are equipped with Auto Land and pilots have Cat III - ILS experience. But in case of a weather system where a delay is inevitable, how does the company handle the time-sensitive packages which are garunteed to arrive the next day.

Also, are Fed Ex flight scheduled or non-scheduled?

Also, it's not just one hub anymore - if MEM goes down they can reroute through IND, EWR, etc....

Folks, any words/rumors on FedEx interviewing/hiring in 2003?

I have a contact in the "hiring" dept. They said to expect 100-150 new hires this year. Interviews are planned for the spring and they are installing some new computer screening software. All subject to change of course.
