With cancellations of flights to Europe from EWR and IAH, do your pilots get paid for those cnx flights due to the Volcanic activity, or does it count as a wx cancellation and you guys get no pay? If that was the case, that would really be terrible. Does that happen at the other airlines too?

CAL crews do not get paid for the cancellations and volunteer to sleep in crew rooms or on the plane. Most of the crews in Europe have not showered for three days.

I am sure the time they are spending in Europe now is being counted as days off so they can turn the moment they get back. Nothing like six crossings a month for straight pay.

If you think I am joking ask what they did a few years ago during a wx event domestically?

CAL pilots never say no.

Please don't listen to the dumb ass troll posting above. If it is less then 24 hrs out you get paid for it (which almost all of these have been). Otherwise you do not get paid for it, but you will not go below your guarantee.

Stuff like sleeping in the crew room is too strange to be false. CAL pilots are always willing to cross the line of a contract to help out the company.

Are you disputing whether or not it did occur?

Another question for CAL pilots: Do CAL pilots regularly bring pillows and blankets in their overnight bags or only when the wx looks bad?

According to your statement CAL does NOT pay if the flight is canceled in advance.

So much for flying 95 hours in April to get paid for 95 hours suckers! Nice contract.

Ask Lucky how his retired UAL brethren's retirement plan is doing these days. Or perhaps how the scope relief United pilots gave up is working out for them right now.

I guess Pocohole is back but this tool's name is much more fitting. such ignorance he truly is "luckytohaveajob".

Dear troll, last I checked 23 hours is still in advance, and yes you will get paid. If it is over 24 you do not get paid , but in no way go below your guarantee. 95% of volcano related cancellations were PAID. If u work for UAL u really have no room to say anything.

Psst ... You CAL bubbas know how to derail this dude's thread?

(mention JB pilots cleaning cabins - works every time!)

I am a CAL pilot and do not do what you state. So just shut up Pocono!
