Long shot question, but here it goes...

Does anybody remember the song that they played during the UPT graduation slide show? It was a rocked up cover of a Waylon Jennings song called 'Heroes'. Does anybody/Did anybody get a name of the artist or band that did the song?

I was remembering that song and can't find it online.

THanks in advance!

Late 90's...hell, they still play it now. No kidding went to a UPT graduation last year and heard it. Can't help you with the title or singer; I would call a UPT base they should have it.

Yeah, I remember that...a video showing the Thunderbirds flying intercut with some big-hair cheesy guitar player out in the desert, right?

Dunno where to find a copy of the song or video, but I thought it was a cool version of "Heroes".

I was of the impression that it was an AF promo or recruiting video.

Late 90's at CAFB? Anyone remember the IP A.L. and what happened to her?

The song they are currently using at Graduation is a Frou Frou (artist's name) cover of "Holding out for a Hero."

Rather odd song to be playing over video of B-1's, A-10's, etc. blowing stuff up.

Seemed to be a theme at Columbus though. They also made use of the Roxette song "Joyride" for a video of stuff being blown up that I saw at more than one base function.

Best UPT grad song: Where Eagles Fly by Sammy Hagar
