Hello to all B6 FC's...

I understand that any safety issues that may arise gets reported via JEMS as well as contacting your BSD...

However, does B6 have any system in place to address Critical Incident Response Program (CIRP) issues that may arise for in-flight FC's...such as dedicated FCs/pilot peers...?

Or do you need to contact the CP who will then contact your EAP or MHP...?

Thanks...

BlueDude...

I was rushing...sorry...should have made myself more clearer...here it goes...

ALPA...many majors...regionals...some Canadian airlines have in place CIRP teams...usually pilot peers dedicated to helping other flightcrews (FC) with traumatic events that they may experience while flying the line...should the situation require further intervention a mental health professional (MHP) is called in and sits in a more involved meeting called a "debriefing" ...all of course kept strictly confidential

Just wondering if B6 has anything in place for FCs...not too long ago...on T-O B6 crew encountered a bird strike...in a situation like that designated pilot peers at the base, in this case JFK would have provided what is called a "defusing",which is an abbreviated meeting or phone call within 8 hours of the incident...

The aim of course is to maintain health and productivity so as to prevent, delay or reduce traumatic stress effects...

I posed the question earlier because B6 has BSDs (Blue Safety Designates) in each of your cities...and wondered if they have a role in this or do you contact Employee Assistance Program (EAP)...

Thanks...

You are probably right...curiosity got the best of me...I'll refrain and redirect my questions then...when I go to the Forest Hills offices...

Thanks..
