What is the maximum age for upt? How is aircaft assignment determined? Does each ang unit have their own preset qualifications, besides the basic norm? Sorry for the dumb questions. Im trying to see what opportunities are out there.

First of all, I'm not an ANG pilot, but I do know some of the answers to your questions.

"What is the maximum age for upt?" Currently, you have to be in UPT by the age of 30. Age Waivers are available, but I understand that they are difficult to get.

"How is aircaft assignment determined?" You fly the airframe that your sponsor unit flies (assuming you make it through all of the required training).

"Does each ANG unit have their own preset qualifications, besides the basic norm?" Yes. I interviewed at a # of ANG and AFRES units and have talked to many others that have done the same, and each of them seem to have their own criteria (above and beyond the basics).

Hope this helps.
