As I mentioned before, I've been out for over two years, trying to get back in.

I have a question about GA TAA airplanes like the CE172 or 182 with a glass cockpit.

Does the altimeter, airspeed indicator, etc. work the same as a comparable plane with the old steam gauges or are these GA planes using air data computers for information displayed on the glass?
 
The G-1000 uses an air data computer. Pitot and static lines are connected to it and the digital magic happens and displays that information to your PFD in the form of airspeed, altitude, VSI, TAS, and OAT.
