My company (a big european LCC) recently changed the autobrake policy for the B737NG to use the autobrake less than we used to. Our standard autobrake setting for landing is now OFF (unless wet or slippery runway etc) and field length permitting a brakes on speed less than 100kt. This was all done to decrease brake wear. From what I hear we did this because boeing claims that souhtwest has the lowest brake wear of any 737 operator since they have disengaged and do not use the autobrake on their 737´s. Can any southwest pilots confirm this? And if this is true will southwest start using the autobrake again after the -200 has been completely phased out?
Our standard flap setting (field lenght permitting of course) was also changed to flaps 30 for noise abatement and to decrease the wear on the flaps. What is the "normal" flap setting for landing at SWA?

RTO only at this time. Union safety rep says that Autobrake use will coming soon. Do not know anything else.

Standard Flaps are 30. 40 if needed.
