Question about Frasca 142 sim

Does the 142 have RMI or old-style NDB??

Chances are good that they may vary, however I've flown 3 different one's and they all had the RMI.

The Frasca 142 that our school uses has the old ADF. RMI would be nice to have. I am sure that the sim can be ordered any way that you you want it configured.... so it will vary from place to place.

Many Frasca FTD's give instructors the option to change between an RMI and fixed card ADF.

I'd just like the add that if airplanes flew like a Frasca 142, we'd all die everytime we went into a cloud.

I recall the ones we had at FSI had RMIs.

Good comment from Skyway FO about "flying" ground trainers. Ground trainers are primarily intended to teach procedures and do help with scan development. But they don't fly like airplanes. The airplane should be cake if you can get it down in the ground trainer.

THe 142's I instruct in have both. The software package lets us choose between RMI or fixec card ADF.
