Lets just say that someone got hired on at mesaba and wanted to work at NWA. Do you have to wait until your senority number comes up to flow through or can you apply and not even deal with the flow through? Is your best bet to get to a mainline not to go the the carrier that has a flow through?

Thanks for your input

Every flow-through I've ever seen requires you to wait until your number comes up, i.e. not jump ahead in line. Depending on the ratio and size of your carrier, your chances may be better coming from a different airline.

That said, I wouldn't base whether you go to work for airline X on a flow-through to airline Y. The agreements can be canceled, etc. Just take the place that looks like the best fit for now.

yea, I am looking to go to mesaba because I have a lot of friends there and it seems to be pretty good right now. But I am just concerned that if I want to fly for NW I would be better off somewhere else than to wait around for the flowthrough
