What is your company's way of MEL'n inop items on BD-100.

This question came up because of our maintanence manager told our pilots that if there is any kind of EICAS message any color and type, you are grounded.

Nother words MX said that we can not MEL anything if it is incorporated with EICAS message.

Pilots things thats bulls!#$, because that would make MEL useless.

Are you able to MEL items with EICAS message showing? Example Cyan bleed loop fault or similar.

I like to have your opinion and how your company does it. If this is how it is we will be cancelling lots of trips.

Thank you.

The checklist has a NO GO Guide at the back of each section. If there is MEL relief, it states the section, right next to the CAS message. If there isn't relief, then it states NO GO. For example, the BLEED LOOP FAULT cyan message has relief under both 30-30-01 and 36-20-01. There are several messages that state NO GO, but there are just as many if not more that have MEL relief.

Does your company have an approved MEL? If not, then it's another story.
