i will do it for $1200/day, in addition to not letting you hit the ground, i will attempt to tell you what the smelly lady in the met office is trying to tell you. if you are going to petro, i will also help you put the masks back into the ceiling after the runway shakes them loose.

Oooh. Your skilz are definitely worth $201.50 per day. My Russian is limited to the ability to fend off hookers in the lobby of the Renaissance in Moscow.

Capt. doesn't want to convert and wants to do it all QFE. IMHO(and possible ignorance) convert once to QNH, after all, the chart states QNH on Request and the FMS data is QNH and no need to manually box #'s or worry that we have set the pressurization wrong. Am I RIGHT?

You're right, and I'll go for 997.50 a day and I won't ward off any hookers like that odd gentleman up a few messages in the thread. In fact, I'll probably round up a gaggle of them and pay them with mini's I scammed from charters six years ago.

STD 1013 until Transition Level then set QFE as advertised....now you will shoot the approach to 200ft (if thats mins) - its actually very simple.

Dont try and convert and shoot it QNH....just do what they do.

Have fun!

Capt. is correct as Gulfstream200 already stated.

I second that-----My first trip into Moscow we tried to be different and use what we were used to, BIG mistake!----especiallly since the weather was down to min's on the approach......Kempinski Hotel across from Red Square was real nice though!......

So what's the problem? If your arsehole captain want's QFE then let him. When you land you should have 0' feet on the altimeter- big whoop. I have flown into Russia and after acknowleding QFE I have gotten QNE on request. I am sure you will too if you ask!
Just make sure you have a meter to feet conversion chart with you, have fun!

Looks like the opinions are mixed. I'll just hope for a visual from the transition level and land with the pressurisation off, capt won't even know.
