I was wondering if anyone could tender an opinion on whether it's worth putting applications in to any of the majors right now even though there are precious few jobs available. If I meet the minimum requirements for an airline, would it be to my advantage to have an app on file and update it periodically for when they start hiring again? Is this a waste of time? Appreciate any info. BMD

Put applications on file when you meet the minimums and keep them current. You never know when an application window will close or minimums will change. Take for example SWA's recent change in criteria to have a type rating, but all applicaitons that were on file are still eligible.

BMD,

Put your applications in as soon as you meet the airlines' minimum qualifications and keep it updated each month. If nothing else, it shows your commitment.
