Was listening to the scanner while biking today and heard a crew over Chicago say they were pulling out of DFW 1st quarter 2004 but i didn't get the flight #. Anyone know who it is?
Also heard ice at 14,000ft and was wondering what part of the engines supply heat and does it just exhaust at the wingtips or recycle?
Good interview question!

On the CRJ, the 14th stage of compression is used for anti-ice, and it exits through the leading edge of the wing.

On Jan 7 2004, SkyWest (DCI) is placing 12 RJ's back in SLC from DFW (leaving 11) to support the increase (mainline decrease) of flying there . Cities SkyWest are leaving: DFW to AUS/DEN/ELP/IAH/ICT/MSP/MSY/OKC/SAT/TYS. An addtional 23 departures for a total of 190 per day in SLC for SkyWest . Also heard that SkyWest may be getting some RJ70's for Delta to fly in DFW next summer.

Fly Safe.
