My mother thinks I distribute child pornography. I'd tell her what I really do, but don't want to break the old gal's heart.

My dad introduces me as his son the pilot like every freaking day. I say yep, but "No I can't fly by myself yet. I need 2 or 3 more years of training."

On a another interesting note, I dated a girl for a short while that I met when wearing my dorky training uniorm ans she was so excited to know one. But then she met my buddy who was in the Air Force AND a pilot(although no an AF pilot).........

"So, you are a flight instructor, eh? When are you going to get your commercial?"

Seriously though, I've had more girls avoid (and chase) me because they think that because I'm a pilot I must be some kind of risk taker, like some punk on a bullet bike, and I've had more non-pilot dudes worship me as some kind of adrenaline junkie when the truth of the matter is that I'm just an airplane nerd. Consequently, most non-pilot people are either thrilled or deathly afraid to fly with me.

My girlfried, who is also my best friend and possibly the coolest person on the face of the earth, looked at it a little differently. She was mildly impressed, but kind of bored at the same time. She's no stranger to the thrill, so it looks like I'm going to have take her out for some spins or something to get her all excited and in awe of my flying skill.

Dude you are a choir boy...how lame. We need to add rainbow flags to the icons list.
don't knock it til you try it, USMC. i can almost guarantee my ability to sing will get/has gotten me more girls than your ability to talk big. but that's not what this thread is about. PM me if you want to continue to be a hard-ass meat head, but stop hijacking my thread with your nonsense.

first of all save the bs about getting the chicks with your singing.... i don't think your going to get far with that reasoning here. dude have you looked at yourself in the mirror? that said, lay off this guy for having the dream of being a pilot. is it that so f'ing bad wanting to fly. i say no. personally i love punching through a cloud deck into the clear skies above a low overcast doing 240 and about 3000 fpm, if that is someone elses dream fine. i am living it! and yes the pay sucks, and no it is not glamorous, but go ddam nit the view sure as shiznitt is awesome.
