Hi all,
Would like to get some info about PSA .
Bases, pay scale, how long to upgrade?medical, 401K?
Also info on the interview process.
Thank you

Bases:
PIT, CAK (Dornier only) DAY, PHL, TYS and soon to be CLT.

Pay? Do a search, that's around here somewhere.

Upgrade depends on the amount of RJ's that come here. If things go as planned (not holding breath) then PSA would need to upgrade over 70 original PSA FO's.

Typical upgrade was about 2-3 years. That number has dropped a bit since they quite upgrading into the Dornier about 1 1/2 years ago.
Upgrades into the CRJ should start after the summer.

Medical plan sucks.....another result of consessions.

Interview gouge is old but is the most current. PSA has not hired newhires since last July. Gouge from that time period is the most current.

Would a newhire start on the 328 or the CRJ-200/700? What have the most recent newhires been assigned to? Flying the 328 wouldn't be too bad - I like the flightdeck!

Any newhire will start in the CRJ. All pilots will be dual qualified on both the 200 and 700. You will fly both.

THe Dorniers should all be gone by September at the latest. (my pick is July). Hence, since the company still needs the current crews to finish the Dornier flying, they are hiring off the street to fill the FO slots on the jet. All the current PSA FO's, will get bypass pay once any new hire starts ground school.

I do, 328 prop is a great ride.

Although its nice not to hear moronic passengers complain about how "props this and props that, ugh" that kind of talk angers up the blood. But of course they do find a reason to whine anyway.

I was jumpseating on a 737 the other day, talking to the captain, when someone gets on behind us, and says "oh crap, this is one of those mini jets." luckily i was able to hold my laughter on that one...

i still miss the 328...best airplane i've flown yet. the horizon guys who used to fly them call it the "dornier sigh" when asked about the comparison of it to the dash 8.
