I emailed my resume in to PSA approximately two weeks ago, got a phone call within 10 minutes of sending it and confirmed an interview date on the 15th and 16th. I have since completed the application packet that was forwarded to me and returned it overnight. I have yet to hear a thing from them. I even sent an inquisitive email about the status of my application. Should I be worried, or is this normal ops for PSA?

Its normal, but I would call. Email is not a great form of communication to let them know your interested. I would call them a couple of times a week until you get an answer. Shows that your really interested in the job. Remember that they get a ton of resumes.

it is my understanding that there has been a change of staff in HR... check your private messages.

When I interviewed with them back in Dec., you completed the packet but turned it in to them on the day of the interview. Not sure if that has changed.

They won't send out the packet unless they have decided to interview you. Once you complete it and turn in back in, they will call to schedule an interview.

they called me yesterday, and said tegy were sending me a packet (I should get it on sat) and my interview is this tuesday.

Looking forward to seeing what they have to offer, any advise I'd love to have.

Thanks,

Aviation interviews has most of the gouge. Pretty standard. If you don't have any 121 experience and you pass the first phase, you will go to Charlotte for a sim eval. Usually done in a 737-300 sim.

1500 unless you have an internal LOR. Then it drops to 1200.

Don't lie about having 121 experience. A few guys did and were promptly fired from what I heard.

Actually, we took delivery of 6 CJ-700's last month and had 2 or 3 upgrade classes in January. One was scheduled for March, but recinded. Not sure why, but my gut says they need to push it up sooner because we will recieve 3 more 700's this month.

If they run the last upgrade class, there will probably be 1 more than untill we see what happens with Airways and if we recieve anymore CRJ's. If that happens, the upgrades would be around the 2 year mark. If not, who knows. 5-6 years.

the upgrade class was cancelled because we had 14 J4J guys show up for class in december and they were all brought in as Captains. It was originally expected that no more would be coming because they had all said no so many times before.

There will be continuous hiring to cover attrition so it will be only 6 or so people each month we have been told.

what kind of a fugging dumbass lies about having 121 experience???

PRIA -- HELLOOOOO!!!

We might as well, since we love giving our seniority to other pilot groups around here. No, actually, we have four year+ FOs eagerly awaiting upgrade.

Is PSA hiring 'off the street captains'?

Not exactly. Furloughed pilots from papa (US Airways) can come here as captains under the Jet for Jobs program IE: We get jets and they get jobs.

I thought that the J4J program had ended. Sounds like this isnt true. Anyone know what the story is with that? I'm tired of flying with J4J guys who do nothing but bash PSA. You dont like your job, quit!

I thought the list had been closed, but for some reason another 13 or so J4Js started training in December. But those were the last, at least that's what I hear.

I heard that as well that these were the last of the J4J guys.
