Gents, what's psa looking for with these interview ?'s?

1.) VDP =?-> HAT(non precision)/300 (+/-) DME @ threshold = VDP w/3 degree angle @ 300 ft/nm
Is this sufficient?

2.) What type of clouds have severe/"strong?" turbulence?

A delimma: if they're looking for the worst turbulence among available choices, I request your enlightenment on which of these is the worst:

a) Towering Cumulous
b) Cumulonimbus
c) Rotor/Roll/Lenticular/Standing Lenticular/Cap Clouds

3.) What's the significance of the # of runway markings?

Are they looking for # of threshold stripes that signify the width of the runway,

or

Are they looking for "2 strips = 500ft length increments" / "single thick strips = 1000 footer aiming markings"?

4.) Seperation b/n parallel runways?

Anyone know if they're asking about simultaneous or dependent/staggered approaches?

Hey,
I just interviewed there a few weeks ago.

1.)Not on the written but possibly on the Technical part...that looks sufficient

2.)Standing Lenticular (written test)

3.)This one they're talking about runway distance remaining signs. Just know what they look like.

4.)Can't help ya here...wasn't asked that one though...might look them both up just in case...

If you haven't already, www.aviationinterviews.com has all 26 questions of the test on there. They give you 10 minutes to finish so if you study em you'll be ready. Have a good knowledge of Jepp approach charts/SIDs/STARs...they'll be asking about those. Also have a smooth flowing briefing when they ask you to brief the approach. Don't skip anything, go left to right and down is what they want to see.

Good luck...

Thanks Matt,
For the cloud question, is there any chance you remember what the other choices were besides Standing Lenticular?

Basic..They are trying to make sure the low timers do not A) come down to slow from the MDA B) That you do not fly into a storm( Standing Lenticular are not that bad unless you are on top of a T-storm or going over the Rockies) C) You can do a low vis takeoff D) That is all for PHL

PSA has the tendancy to change their interview format from interview to interview. Sometimes they give 1 ATP type test then the interview. Others are a Math tests, perceptions tests and an ATP test. ALL tests are TIMED!!

If you don't pass all the tests then you do not go to the next step which is the face to face interview with HR and Chief Pilots.
