Hi guys I heard some rumors and I'd like to know what's is true what is not.
1- I heard you guys are in a hiring right now and the upgrade would be as quick as 6 months for experienced pilots?
2- ERJ 170 , you would be receiving an order of 50 to 100 of those jets?
3- Even if you guys don't make it you would have firm proposals of chautauqua and some others for buying?
4- How's the real financial situation? (I mean no negative or too optimist thoughts please).

Thanks in advance

1. 6 months, no way. Maybe 18 months at best depending on the revised delivery schedule.

2. E170's are at MDA, not PSA. PSA is taking 37 CRJ200's and 48 CRJ 700's, with options for another 85 CRJ aircraft. As a PSA pilot you could eventually flow up to MDA or mainline, but that is years down the road.

3. PSA would most likely be sold during a Chp 7, but no one knows this for sure. USAirways will probably end up being a big RJ operator with some transcon, carribbean, and intl stuff to separate us from WN and JB. I don't see the company going away just yet, if things were really really bad PSA would already have been sold to raise cash.

4. Hard to say. GE hasn't pulled the financing, which was said would happen if Groups credit rating feel below a (B-). The credit rating has fallen twice from a CCC+, to where it is now at CCC. Too many people have too much invested just to let this place disappear, although it always is a possibility.....

That's pretty much the way I see it too.

US Airways revised it's financing with GECAS for the RJ's a few months back and one of the provisions was that it's finacning of the new RJ's wouldn't depend on the company's overall credit rating. This provision was agreed to untill September 30th, 2004.

My .02 cent's? If Airways tanks, PSA and MDA would make up the brunt of USAirways and PSA would be sold to Bronner to recap his investment over time.

Sorry to HiJack the thread...

would be sold to Bronner to recap his investment over time.[/QUOTE]When you say this, what does this mean for PSA?

Also PSA guys,

Hows the training going for new hires and the 328 guys in transition?

I heard they have classes open for Aug. 30, and Sep. 7, then it jumps to Nov. 10.

Is the gap for the 328 guys/gals?

Any purchase of PSA by Bronner during any bankruptcy proceeding for UAIR is pure speculation. That being said, what would happen to PSA if that were to occur would be further speculation. Is it possible? I think it is but nobody on the property has any real idea. If you decide to come and work here you are rolling the dice, things could work out or your career here could be extremely short. We all have to decide for ourselves... Yes the training gap for new hires would be to train all of the Dornier folks.

1. 6 months? Where do people come up with this stuff?

2. You mean the EMB170.. no such thing as an ERJ170. And no we're not getting any of those. Again... where did you get this stuff?

3. Chautauqua buying us? What? That's a new one for me.

4. Who knows. I defer to Long-Gonner's excellent remarks.

Can PSA be sold when USAir does not own the aircraft ( I thought GE cap. did)? or do they?

GECAS is providing the $ for the aircraft, so you can sell anyting you want to, I am sure that GECAS will not care as long as the check for the lease is paid.

PSA questions?

Can any PSA guys answer a few questions for me?

1. How many days off while on reserve and on average for a line holder?

2. Once a line holder whats is the average credit pay for the month?

3. What bases are new hires going to?

Thanks for any info!

Reserve='s 10 MDO

LH='s 11 MDO

I'm not sure what the line value for the CRJ is right now (i'm still flying the dork untill next week). We are having staffing problems for the CRJ and about 8 new CRJ's are parked because of it.

They annouced that PIT and CAK are closing as pilot bases and people are bidding out of them. CLT will be the biggest followed by PHL, DAY and then TYS. I think most new hires have been placed in DAY. CLT will be very very senior after PIT closes. DAY and TYS are CRJ-200 bases only. PHL is both 200 and 700 base and CLT will be an all CRJ-700 base.

All this depending on the fate of DAD!!!!

Ok Weasil as I originally posted this are rumors and I would like to thanks all that came up if the true.

About Chautauqua (Republic Airlines) they are buying all they can to become a second MESA they actually are already, and they have cash.

About 6 months some cadidates from Corporate Airlines and others were saying this.

About The Embraer, I am Brazilian/American and the original name was ERJ170 they probably had changed to diferentiate from the obsoletes CRJ 200/700/900 that cannot be compared to the Embraer products in terms of flying experience and cockpit features.
Thanks to all that answer this forum and besides the rumors we always can get good info.
I am MESA and was worry about PSA situation because if Republic buy you guys things would chage a lot (for worst) for us at MESA, as according to J.O. here Republic is the only competition MESA has and that's because of price of service.
Thank you one more time

Ok, I will then.

Hows that?

Eu responderei a sua pergunta em toda a língua que você quiser Dorkprop. Se você quiser minha opinião mim pense que qualquer coisa sob o sistema de Usairways está parafusado. A estada no Mesa sua vida será muito melhor.
