Now it gets even more interesting. I just heard there was a conference call yesterday to Allegheny mg't from Siegel telling them that unless the pilots rethink the RJ offer, their company will be sold or closed. Can anyone confirm this?

To answer your question, I have no earthly idea. However, I will add that it wouldn't surprise me to see the assets sold piece-meal rather than whole.

The wholly-owneds have been getting the bad end of the stick for a long time now. Perhaps this is the reason for it: to facilitate a sale/shut-down.
