"...If you get tired of hearing the media talk about "the growing anti-war movement in this country" while ignoring public opinion polls that show 72% of Americans support this military campaign, then you'll enjoy these poster slogans used in Washington last Saturday by a group of conservative college students who infiltrated a peace rally with a few signs of their own:

"Except for ending Slavery, Fascism, Nazism & Communism - WAR HAS NEVER SOLVED ANYTHING"

"Sadam only kills his own people - IT'S NONE OF OUR BUSINESS!"

"Communism Has Only Killed 100 Million People - LET'S GIVE IT ANOTHER CHANCE"

I heard a guy who called a radio talk show about some of the signs he had. One of them was...

I oppose war, unless a Democrat is President.

He said they were very unfriendly to him, and he even felt his life was in danger at times. So much for free speech, and talk about peace. I think peace activists are dangerous.

I saw one of those pro-war morons out there with a "PEACE THROUGH VIOLENCE" sign. I'll bet he was a professional wrestling fan too.

I'm sure that you will find both idiots and thoughtful people on both sides of the issue.

well there's a blender callin' me................................

Well, here's my two cents.

I served 23 years in the Infantry and was proud every single moment. I was proud when I left my family heartbroken because "Daddy was leaving". I was proud when I held my dying buddies in my arms. I am proud when I have my nightmares and wake up thinking my buddies blood is all over me, and I am looking for one of their blown off legs...

I am proud when my wife wakes me up in the middle of the night because I am crying in my sleep.

I was proud when I defended others that couldn't defend themselves. I was proud when I thought I was gonna die for my country, my buddies, and my flag.

I AM PROUD NOW!

I heard the other day that the military was asked to "not wear their uniforms" off base and to let their hair grow so that they don't "look like soldiers" - simply because of the anti-war sentiment. Well, I broke out my Army hat and pinned on all of my badges, then I placed 5 flags on my truck windows, and I make EVERY effort to "LOOK" like a soldier... I do this because I dare one SON-OF-A-BITCH to challenge me because I am a soldier.

I served, and I still serve in my heart now.

I am not a war-monger, BUT, I will serve my country wherever it needs me and I will fight next to my fellow soldiers - I will serve you, my fellow countrymen.

Peace Activist Etiquete

With all of this talk of impending war, many of us will encounter "Peace Activists" who will try and convince us that we must refrain from retaliating against the ones who terrorized us all on September 11, 2001, and those who support and foment terrorism. These activists may be alone or in a gathering.....most of us don't know how to react to them. When you come upon one of these people, or one of their rallies, here are the proper rules of etiquette:

1. Listen politely while this person explains their views. Strike up a conversation if necessary and look very interested in their ideas. They will tell you how revenge is immoral, and that by attacking the people who did this to us, we will only bring on more violence. They will probably use many arguments, ranging from political to religious to humanitarian.

2. In the middle of their remarks, without any warning, punch them in the nose.

3. When the person gets up off of the ground, they will be very angry and they may try to hit you, so be careful.

4. Very quickly and calmly remind the person that violence only brings about more violence and remind them of their stand on this matter. Tell them if they are really committed to a nonviolent approach to undeserved attacks, they will turn the other cheek and negotiate a solution. Tell them they must lead by example if they really believe what they are saying.

5. Most of them will think for a moment and then agree that you are correct.

6. As soon as they do that, hit them again. Only this time hit them much harder. Square in the nose.

7. Repeat steps 3-6 until the desired results are obtained and the idiot realizes how stupid of an argument he/she is making.

8. There is no difference in an individual attacking an unsuspecting victim or a group of terrorists attacking a nation of people.

It is unacceptable and must be dealt with. Perhaps at a high cost.
We owe our military a huge debt for what they are about to do for us and our children. We must support them and our leaders at
times like these. We have no choice.

We either strike back, VERY HARD, or we will keep getting hit in the nose.

As long as the war protesters do not violate the law (civil disobedience, etc...) they have the right to speak out. However ignorant some of them appear as they spout off for the cameras.

Do I agree with them? No.

Bullies (and I consider terrorists as bullies) understand only one thing, a quick punch in the gut. He has been given every reasonable chance to disarm.

My father taught me when I was young that fighting was a last resort. I do not consider any war a good thing. However, sometimes the best option is the lesser of two evils.
I believe that is the case here.

"W" is just doing what is right and necessary, albeit the last resort.

God Bless our Troops!

Toy Soldier,

Sir, I am proud of you and all of those like you that have sacrificed part or all of their lives so that the rest of us can enjoy the everyday freedoms we too often take for granted.

Thank you sir, for your past contributions and may the Good Lord grant our troops the strength and our leaders the wisdom, to end this war with the fewest possible casualties in the quickest possible time.

Toy Soldier...

I would LOVE to try out your method!! It would work so much better than trying to talk sense into those people. If there weren't so many cops around these protests I would probably do it...last I heard an assault charge makes it tough to get hired:)
I just returned from the Women in Aviation conference in Cincinnati (yes, I'm a male and in women in aviation). The fountain square outside our hotel in downtown Cincy was filled every night with anti-war protesters. These people really get on my nerves...I don't know why, but they do. I think it's because they don't try to understand what is going on and why... Oh well. At least these war protesters brought about one good thing...the cops! They were able to tell a group of us where the good sports bars were. Soooooooo, I guess I owe a thankyou to the anti-war protesters a thankyou...but I will never tell them that!

God Bless. Free the oppressed Iraq citizens.

The difference is that Democrats will always blame the Conservatives for what is happening, they will never shoulder any of the blame themselves. Liberals love to point fingers and blame others. It's time for them to stop being part of the problem and become part of the solution.

I think I'll become a right-wing protest infiltrator on the weekends. Looks like fun!

The site has some pictures of just how pathetic some anti-war protesters have become. I support their right to disagree, but jeeze, people, engage your brain!

Interesting...

For you that thinks it's interesting that I posted a "pun suggestion" about "hitting them in the nose"..... Don't mistake my kindness for weakness, as I say.

Just because I am a Christian doesn't mean that I will not defend my rights... or yours.... Is that interesting enuff???????????

Intersting...

I'm with you Sanford... someone thought it was "interesting" that I fly for the Christian Air Ministry - yet I made a point about how "stupid" some of the protestors's arguments are... The whole point of the post is this... the "protestors" can and will make an argument, BUT, what if you DID punch them in the nose -how would they react?

Their reaction would be to react "violently", most likely... that's the point of my post MIDLIFEFLYER..... Well, the country is reacting, and to a point, taking pre-emptive measures. AS A BLACKBELT, FORMER BOXER AND BODYGUARD... AND OFD COURSE WARRIOR, I happen to know that sometimes a BEST DEFENSE IS A GOOD OFFENSE!

Is that interesting enough too?????
