I don't believe that story at all. So, you're saying that not only did the pilot's blatantly disobey ATC, risk losing their liscenses and almost cause an accident because they wanted to push now?
I'm pretty sure Ramp Control isn't part of the ATC system.

Hi, PHXFLYR. Yes, you seem like a real "joy" yourself, what with your foul language and name calling.

And, you must be right. Switching parking areas in PHX must be too much for U-east guys. Must have never happened before.

So, are you guys getting excited by the tough talk by your MEC?

No,,,,but I'm sure your just droolin' at all the DOH "Bravo Sierra" eminating from yours. By the way, you might want to come up to speed on ALPA Merger Policy. The Merger Comittes are automonous and aren't controlled by either MEC. So they can spout whatever they want. In the end it will all get decided by an arbitrator, so who gives a damn who says what. But if your too dumb to figure that out on your own...... Oh,, and by the way "Happy Thanksgiving"

Why do some pilots "get angry" with delays and such. It's part of the business, and you get paid extra for putting up with it.

So like my priest always used to say "Just let it happen; it won't hurt a bit"

At Terminal 4 in PHX, you'd have to talk to both Ramp and Ground b/c the gates that UsAirways is parking at are at the end of the B concourse which means the gates are under control of the ramp, but taxiway C runs right behind them.

So the merger isgoing well and we are all holding hands around he campfire?

...and come crashin' thru the kitchen door, wailing "Mommy,Mommy that big mean mainline pilot wouldn't play nice with me on Flight info.com ,,,,,WAHHH.....WAHHHH:crying: !! " Come on kid, quit feeling sorry for yourself just because your flying at a regional, will you please?

PHXFLYR:cool:

Right I really care what some fat grey hair says about me on flightinfo. Ok man all I am saying is some of you mainline guys must be so old you actually believe that you did your private ride in an A-320. You were flying at a regional at or a crappy cargo outfit at some point! So stop this senior/freshman act out at the airport and act like a professional. Everyone has to start somehwere. That doesn't make them less of a pilot. Its all part of the stepping stones. Its sad when a "26 yr old spikie haired oakley FO" has more professionalism then a senior left seater in a bus

also its really funny when the guys with the "NO-RJ'S" stickers on the flight bags need a ride up front to get home on the last fight. We have taken you every time and let it go. whos the bigger man there?

Wow, PHX, you sound pretty hostile. I imagine it's attitudes like yours that made your MEC decide to shut down your ALPA message board.

Not that you deserve an explanation, but I'm quite up-to-speed on ALPA MP, and I'm quite sure I'll be placed at the bottom. (Just as I'm quite sure that's exactly where you think I belong since I had the reprehensible judgment of flying for US Air in 1999 instead of staying at my regional and getting hired at AWA in 2005.)

See ya!

Hostile ,me no. Reprehensible judgement on you part taking a position at USAir in 1999...you betcha. C'mon man smarten up . It looks like you were at one of the wholly owned carriers too. Not to say my time at AWA has been all sweetness and light, but if you weren't smart enough to pick up on the fact that USAir was a basket case for years based on what you saw as W/O pilot, don't go taking out your frustration on us. And NO WHERE did I say, or will I ever say you guys should be tacked on to the bottom of the combined list. That will be decided in arbitration. And to set the record straight, I have been at AWA alot longer than 2005.

PHXFLYR -

You are wrong, I was not employed at a U W/O prior to furlough.

I am now, via the J4J.
I love it and probably won't leave, if for no other reason than to never, ever have to fly with you or Doug.

Happy Thanksgiving and be careful.

That remains to be seen...... but if it really is, good luck to you!

Uh huh.....yeah. The second word you wrote to me in this thread was "a$$hole"

Sounds hostile to me.

So, if you will, share with us where you were in 1999.

I heard you were at a PFT outfit. Where was that?

I'd love to hear how your superior judgement landed you at AWA.

Be glad to reply when you sober up....No doubt in my mind that you have been called worse.

Worse than what?

What are you implying, PHXFLYR?

I'm perfectly sober, so bring it on.....tell us all about your superior career judgment.

Riiiiight! Let's see, I was flying US Airways aircraft to PHX in 1999, and I think they were flying there 20 years before that. In fact, U pilots have been flying to PHX since before AWA was born. I doubt they need your help. But it's way cool for you to offer it.

Wow, you sound like a total prick.

I was being genuine....especially after one of the US Airways A320's cut across the ramp and missed us by about 10 feet.

I know that no one needs my help or advise. But until recently US Airways never parked at T4 in PHX and the truth is you guys are screwing up the ramp clearances very frequently. For someone who's been flying to PHX since 1999 that's pretty pathetic.

My original point was that since the US Airways people never parked there before they aren't used to it...just like I wouldn't be familiar with ramp procedures in PHL.

I can tell that you're going to be a real pleasure to fly with. Actually, I'm guessing you're furloughed so you'll end up being junior to me anyways. Don't worry, though, when it's your leg I won't tell you how to fly.

Jerk.
