Just curious. Anyone know the current average time-in-grade from pinning on O4 to O5 in the reserves, any branch? Thanks.

PS, can anyone explain the difference between the active reserve and unrestricted reserve and why are there separate promotion boards for each?

time-in-grade for Lt Col in the Guard and Reserve is 7 years. This does not take into account unit vacancies.
