Anybody want to weigh in on this before I break open the regs? Can you give a guy a 121.441 checkride if he has dequal'd on ground school, or must the ground school be completed first? Our training manual is vague and I would appreciate it if somebody could direct me to the appropriate reg. The most convenient route for the airman is to get the sim done first. I don't want to say, "No sim for you!" if there is no regulatory/manual requirement to complete ground first.

Thanks

IIRC the 441 may still be given, but he will still need to complete the required ground training before returning to the line if he is outside his grace month.
In a former life, a quirk in my base month always had me in the sim a month or two before recurrent ground training.
