Flightinfo used to be cool before the pilots got here, good luck grabbing your 'hawk off the crazies up North, I'll stand-bye for the pics.

Well, Art V. was busting my chops about the airplane of choice last year when I bought it for dirty cheap. You can buy airplanes two ways :
1. Buy a cream de la cream
2. Buy a **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED**ty one and then bring it up to your standards.

I choce the second way because I couln't afford the #1.

Since the purchase the aircraft has new carpet, new interior plastics put together by yours truly. The airplane needed paint very bad, and that was the reason I went and spent the money.

I ferried the aircraft on weekend from Ohio to Washington and going over I-80 at 6 am in the morning was a fun and great flying experience. The aircraft, maintained 10,500 with no problem and with the luck I had with winds I got endurance on it to have 3,5 to 4 hr legs (very comfortable).

Also, for Art's information the Piper Seminole has a 11,000 tt limit on its wings does that make it a bad aircraft too? :) Tomahawks have STCs that you can extend the wing time to 17,000 and the place that does that is only 10 miles from me.

It's a fun aircraft and with 125HP STC it outperforms the C172M models in the pattern in terms of climb performance. It's a good aircraft to build time and get private pilot license as well.. Oh, lastly this specific one is IFR certified to boot.

I will try to post some pictures when I get it back..

Cheers to everyone who really cared..

For the record I wasn't busting your chops :) 11,000 hours is a lot of time. Say it has 5,000 hours now and you fly it 300 hours a year... well you'll bump into that 11,000 hour mark 20 years from now ;)

The T-hawk, on average, has a slightly higher useful load than a 152, carries a bit more fuel, and has a larger cabin to boot.

Life limits are a fact of life for airplanes certified under the newer regs. Comparing the 152 to the T-hawk in this respect is apples to oranges as the 152 was certified under the old regs. Yeah it has life limits but it's also held to higher safety standards.

can y ou pressure them with threats of litigation? are you within the means to retain the powers of an attorney?

I actually care and hope you get the airplane back the way you want. I wasn't saying the airplane is junk because of the wing replacement thing, just curious about it. I imagine that is an expensive undertaking.

I too have flown a tomahawk and actually enjoyed it. I never questioned the airplane itself, just the person you aquired it from.

Good luck and let us know how it goes. I also would like to see the pics of this aircraft, I remember what it used to look like sitting on the ramp.

Option A
Get your A/C and lock it up in a hanger. Hire a Canadian lawyer.

Option B
Keep working with them( put pressure on 'em with threats of litigation etc.) and end up with a **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED**ty paint job that took to far to long.

Art,
the person that I got it from was half way decent compared to what I have seen in other aviation places. But if you know more about him, message me personaly.

The aircraft kept looking like the way you remember it until January of this year but I put a new interior on it since the purchase date.

Once again, I was not able to afford one in good condition but spreading the cost for a 20,000 airplane to the time with a purchase price half of that was a good choice.

As far as getting it back, got a written confirmation from the paint shop about a delivery date of Friday. A letter to BBB and the airport management worked some wonders..
