looking for input from people out there that use the Pro-Diem service... thoughts, concerns? seems like it would make life a little easier...

thanks

I've used EZperdiem and it worked great. $50. It ties in with TurboTax and makes life simple during tax time.

Pro Diem is the way to go. I've used EZ perdiem and Pro Diem gets you by far a larger deduction. Also there is no data input required. You quickly download their data "widget" and it extracts your entire schedule for the year from your company. They seem to support all the majors and regionals. Hope this helps.

Pro Diem is great. Basically download their widget, it does all the work and two days later you get an email with the info. I did not fly much this year, but looks like it will save me $350.00. Last year well over a grand. Great customer service. I actually called them today and talked to a person.

There's a good thread on this in the money section of airlinepilotcentral.

Martin Kapp CPA is the best in the transportation tax code and I have been using his services for over 12 years. He owns 2 patents for calculating mileage and for Per-diem and everyone else is paying royalties to him for his software and then passes that cost on to you. Martin Kapp has won all of his tax cases for transportation employees and has set 4 precedents in tax court for transportation employees that we all take for granted today. Martin Kapp knows all 18,000 pages of the transportation tax code and is the most current of anyone on the subject. Martin Kapp is the Real Deal and the rest are imitators! You want to have his signature on your tax return and not someone pretending to be a transportation tax specialist. When it comes to taxes, do yourself a favor and use Martin Kapp.

So how does one over the other get you the bigger deduction? Your deductions are what they are and will they back you up in an audit?
