Hi Everyone,

I am sure you are all aware of the privacy issues and identity theft that happens from online job boards. However, there is more information in this article of which you might not be aware.

Be sure to read the privacy policies of any job boards to which you post your resume. Never include a social security number on your resume. (I know that is a requirement of Federal job postings, but that is a secure site.)

good advice

I figure if a company can't be upfront with who THEY are, why respond in the blind?

When I was looking, I'd find the fax # of the HR dept or someone who was in the hiring division... internet databases are forever, and who knows when or where your data will reappear.

Everyone around me thinks I'm paranoid.
