...until mid September. That lasted like a week. What I don't understand is that Scott said in his e-mail a while back that we were cought up for the rest of the year.

So everybody pitch in and help ASA out. The more trips we pick up, the longer we'll be in negotiations.

ASA is short handed.
Make them come back to the table. DON'T DO THEM ANY F-ING FAVORS!

I waited for 10+ minutes for scheduling to pick up the phone when I called in sick recently so I guess they've been busy. The scheduler pretty much hung up on me as soon as he heard the word "sick".

Spoke with a scheduler while trying to track down the rest of my crew, and was told that flights were being cancelled so they could piece together Capts, FOs and FAs to atleast complete a flight here and there.

Quit f#cking well picking up trips. That's all there is to it. And if they try and extend you to cover their mess, tell them you're feeling a bit sick and won't be able to do it!!! The end.

ASA management is feeling the heat, but it will not last. Our pilot group will once again pick up all the open time and take the heat off management once again. That is why this thing has lasted 5 years and no end in sight.

Sounds like the CPs are having to crack down on sick calls. Good.

Tell them you are fatigued when you get in from a trip. You are only required to be physically able to do your assignment, not be physically prepared to get extended.

Tell them you were up late watching TV and are only prepared to do your assigned trip. How can they get you on that?

Don't let them scare you.

The "F" word

Fatigue:

I recently cited "fatigue" when extended at the end of a trip.

Scheduling said "you have to call your chief pilot."

I said "no I don't......But they can call me."

About 20 minutes later, my phone rang. It was a chief pilot.

I said "Hi.....This line is being recorded"

Suddenly, he found something more important to do, excused himself, and never called me back.

All this could explain why naps seem to have gone senior.

I can imagine. I seem to remember Scott Hall saying back in May that the summer lines would get better. Definatly not the case. August is a big pile of stinking crap. I'd bid naps if i lived in ATL.
