Pre & Post flight instruction

Does everyone who instructs charge for "pre & post" flight instruction? If so, how much? Same as or different than the rate for "flight" instruction? If different rate, why?

Charge straight by the hour no matter what you are doing, ground or flight instruction. Don't cheat yourself, you are a professional. Let them hire a professional musical instructor or math tutor and see how much they get charged by the hour...
