Most of the airlines in Asia and Middle East are hiring due to tremendous expansion. As fareview said pick a carrier and Pprune it and you will find a wealth of info for all your questions. I guess it's really beneficial to have at least a 320 type or a 737 type right now.

I'm moving to Ireland tomorrow for a flying job. I have also been offered a job with Air Deccan in India. I just used the services of Direct Personnel and Aeroprofessional in my search. I'm going in as an ATR captain for Aer Arran in Ireland. For most these jobs you need a type rating in their aircraft and 400-500 hours in type.

How are you getting a JAA ATP, or do you already have it.... that is quite a proccess....

Hi!

From my experience, ALL the Indian carriers want 500 hours in type, AND you have to have a type rating for Capt.

I believe all the 747 freighters (NOT Cathay) require time in type.
