Nice job. Just out of curiosity though, how many junior man's were needed to make that happen?

Not many on FO's side..Capt. I dont know all they do now is extend reserve guys and give them a comp day which means Sh#t.

We got free lunch and dinner for the perfect week. It should happen more often...the free food.. part

What is the typical reserve schedule for a FO at Pinnacle?

avarage month it looks like this

5 days on 2 days off 5 days on 3 days off 5 days on 2 days off 5 days on 3 days off

some lines have a late airport reserve on the first day. good for commuters... 10am-10pm on the next three days and early reserve on the last day so you can go home early. other lines have reserve 10am to 10pm all 5 days..

so its possible to get 14 nights in your own bed

While on reserve, is there a callout out time to get to the airport or do you have to sit at the actual airport?

for late airport reserve you have to be at the airport.. its only for like 4 hours though. The next 4 days it s a 90 minute call out.

Almost one year now, I have never been junior manned. I was extended three times; two of the three were paid at time and a half and I was able to use the comp days later.

Never junior manned. Extended five times in the last year.

Bid reserve in Jan. to get the first off and they did not use me so I had 21 days off.

This month I bid reserve again because the lines were so bad and I am up to 12 days off.

Kinda of the same thing here... been here about 1 and a half and only Junnior Manned once and never extended... and out of 90% of my trip request are approved

How many other regionals offer more than 10 days off on reserve? It seems pretty standard to me.

AWAC = 12 days off

But looking at APC Pinnacle upgrades are 1 year? Certainly not the case here...probably be worth it to trade an extra 2 days of work for a 12 month upgrade.

XJ= Min of 11 days off for Reserve and Line holders.
Never once been Junior manned or extended , it does happen here occasionally, just never been lucky enough to have my number drawn!

Upgrade times at Pinnacle depend on how much money you are willing to pay. Thank the Gulfstream pilots and PCL_128 for that.

grow up lil boy. When i say standard, I am implying the the majority, so just because 2 airlines chimed it with more than 10 days off, dont give yourself a hard on. Skywest is 10 days, ASA is 10, XJT is 10, PSA is 10, TSA is 10, WP is 10 (i think), and i pretty sure MOST others are as well.

how you like that Going2lickmynutz....i mean going2baja.

haha. kidding, i am just having some fun with ya.

Dont kid yourself. If i was management I would would push you college boys around to. Good thing you little gulfstreamers have mommys and daddys that are willing to pay a retarded amount of money to tell their friends their little s$it bag is an airline pilot. You guys have paid your money, your F/Os now, and if you dont become captains in the near future than tough s*it. Some of us have worked like SLAVES to have the chance to be here. But just keep telling the girls in the bar that your work for northwest, and just keep thinking that you have paid your dues, you M#*($8r F#*Kers have no idea how long of a road it has been for some of us. P.S if you do upgrade your F/Os have exactly ZERO respect for you and will treat you accordingly. In their eyes your are a sell out POS that deserves to be treated like a private student. They will make fun of you in front of your face with the flight attendant 2 feet away and then piss in your coffee when your in the lav. C ya there

Perfectly said Papps!!!! Except don't tell the gals you work for NWA - they will bail for sure - they know you are broke!

last year when Pinnacle was still getting jets, they did hire street captains. But that came to an end sometime last spring. So while the most junior capt got hired last year, it doesnt necessarily mean that upgrades are running year. I think its closer to 3-5 years now.

papps, you just have it all figured out dont ya?

Wow. I think we found out who this particular captain is...........

Pinnacle's a dog sh*t airline under dog sh*t management. I worked for them for a year and they fired my ass because I failed to write up a captain who threatened to slit my throat. After I refused a trip with him due to an obvious safety of flight issue, they asked for my resignation. All the other pilots there are f'ing awesome though, ... but as far as management is concerned ... f**k em'
Could it beeeee....... this guy??? -------->

hmm. which part did i get wrong. Last time i checked there were a ton of guys out flying with students, or slinging boxes with the hopes that after working long hours for nothing for 3-5 years, they would get the chance to go to the bottom of the list at one of these regionals and work long hours for nothing for a few more years.
To M.Grunt, im sure you have realized by now that people feel differently about x-military guys that have the government cover them for training (which is probably your deal)than they do about 20 year old rich kids. And if they dont your probably trained well enough with knives and C4 that they wouldent call you out on it anyway.

Point taken. However I think that the best thing for them is the proper leadership and example, not a cockpit full of hostilities. Yeah, while some may be cocky punks, take the opportunity to educate them and show them the light. As far as humbling them and putting them in their place, well, just getting into the jet will do that to most of them, but if not, there ways to "put the pressure on" while still being productive. :pimp:
