Hi gus,
looking for info re the aviation scene in Portland, Oregon. I know there are a lot of airines that fly in there, but anybody know who is based there?
Airlines, charter, EMS etc.
cheers

I believe Horizon (Alaska Air's commuter branch) is based in Portland. They fly Dash 8s and CRJs.

I'm talking to a friend right now who works for Horizon and she say's they're hiring! Sign up! They're a great company!

FlightCraft is based out of PDX. They do leasing, maint and fractional type stuff. I interviewed with them last year and they seem to run a pretty nice outfit. There are a couple other corporate companies at Hillsboro.

jdog & xlr8 thanks for the heads up, unfortunately its a bit too soon for me. I'm not US citizen (yet), ICAO CPL, studying for ATP now, will do FAA one next. My gf is US citizen, getting engaged soon:D yeah baby!

redd thanks for the link;)

I just moved here and if anybody knows the aviation scoop around here let me know too. Thanks.

spoke with LaMar Haugaard, the CP, he said they are pretty much done with interviewing for the year, with the exception of maybe a few internally recommended people. Hopefully that will change, like everything else in aviation. day to day it's different.
