Does anyone have experience with the Delphi Myphi systems? Or, even the comparable Pioneer version? They're both priced the same msrp. Just lookin for pros & cons. Thanks.

I've got the Delphi My-Fi (XM) and I really like it. Works just about everywhere (even in places I thought it wouldn't), very portable. I've used it on several cross country road trips.

I don't know much about the Pioneer but I suspect they'll just keep getting better and better. You might want to wait a bit for the prices to come down however.

If your sitting in the left seat it works great going West, South most times North. Not so good eastbound.....ah someone told me:D

Have been told that the delphi one works great. You just need to put the antenna on a part of the windshield or side window that doesn't have a heating element sandwiched in the glass.

Thanks guys! How's the battery life? Do u have to carry a bulky charger, or is it pretty convenient?

The myfi has a rechargable 5 hour battery. I would like the ability to download music while it isn't connected to the cradel. Why it has to do that i have no idea. On www.xm411.com they are showing myfi 2.0 which has the ability to download without the cradle.

I bought a myfi about a month ago, it worked great in the car with the external antenna.

elsewhere though.. not so good. on the commercials they show people indoors listening to it. BS - unless you've got a long antenna running to the nearest window. that's why it comes with antennas for everything. you've got one for the car, house, even one to hook to your shirt.

i tried mine without the external antenna everywhere. sitting right under the windshield on the airplane (where you'd think it'd get a good signal), in the backyard, even on the beach with nothing between the reciever and the sattelite except sky. it didn't stay locked on enough to even listen to.

i wanted it mainly for flying, and maybe i just got a bad unit, but it was kindof a dissapointment. i thought it'd work good enough to walk around outside and not need antenna wires hooked up to it.

so i took it back yesterday and got the 4GB ipod which is $100 cheaper.
