yeah we're professional-- that and nothing will get you a free McCafe choco latte thing on mondays at McD's from 7am to 7pm. I could care less about a PR campaign to demonstrate how professional the united pilots are--and so could everyone else-- Seriously, is someone going to see the campaign and say-- Honey pack you bags- we're going to tokyo -- look how professional united pilots are. Hope they dont call in sick.

we have the most wussy bunch of union guys at any airline.

It has been 2,283 days (6 years, 2 months, 31 days) of living under the current draconian contract and work rules negotiated under duress of bankruptcy.

United’s Professional Pilots
United Pilots are among the most professional and best-skilled individuals in the airline industry. We know it because we are there, everyday, doing our jobs in the outstanding manner we have come to expect from each other. There are many distractions we deal with every day, but we continue to come to work, do our job and provide our customers with the service they expect and deserve. Through the ALPA Code of Ethics we recognize and value each other’s expertise, mentoring and professionalism that go beyond the cockpit.

We have heard from the Company that the number of pilots on sick leave is now so high that they are using junior/senior manning to fly the schedule. If this situation continues and begins to impact operations we will all have to contend with the challenges that will bring. Continue to approach this environment with the same professionalism you display in all environments. If you can assist the operation in any way, please consider doing so.

You will soon see a public program that will highlight the professionalism and aptitude of United Airlines’ pilots. You will see images of United Pilots who everyday do what we do best – make this airline fly. We know who we are, and we want everyone else to know who we are: We are aviation’s finest!

Stop the furlough

If Glen is so hard of for help, why doesn't he stop the furlough or better yet recall everyone that was re-thrown out on the street? The people that are calling in sick are just burning up their sick leave before they get tossed out after the abusive summer company cash grab. It’s no different than last year and only a matter of time before they get canned and sued like last summer. Oh and just like our last injunction, ALPA will lose because they will be too busy drumming up more regionals because they know that when United finally gets destroyed, they're gonna need 8,000 more peeps to replace the ones they lost. The end is near...so sad

Actually, your MEC is among the most militant in recent history. Unfortunately, the injunction is killing them. In order to comply with the judge's ruling, they are having to put out this kind of crap to keep from getting hit with massive fines and other penalties. Try to be patient. It will blow over after the injunction is lifted and they can get back to more militancy.

Maybe UAL should hire more pilots so that when a few call in sick they dont have to cancel flights.

You really think they are going to get the injuction lifted????
Especially after people post things like this?

If you are sick, don't fly. Infecting others you work with is bad for everyone. Be kind to the over 60 pilots who might die from a simple cold or flu. Call in sick.
