Poolies and LUV....

There has been much discussion about what SWA thinks about us Poolies as we are floating endlessly in a sea of blue, with no apparent horizon in sight.....

FYI.... I had to go to my parent's home on short notice last week due to the declining health of my Mom.... LL returned my monthly call while I was enroute.... I mentioned that I was not having a very good day. Much to my surprise, upon returning home last night I had a card waiting for me from LL & the SWA Flight Ops Team .

They wanted to let me know that my family is in their thoughts and prayers.

ANYONE who does not believe that this company is more than just another airline (a profitable one, even) just doesn't get it!?!?

Looking forward to being a FULL-TIME member of the LUV family -

Double Poolies!?

On another note....

I bet that I have EVERYone beat on this one!!!!?

Last week, the SWA People Dept. called and informed my wife's Mom that she has been placed in the Pool for a position with the Reservations Center in PHX!!!!!! YEA MOM!!

SO - we are now a Dual Poolie family!!!

I have offered my water wings to Mom while I continue to tread, she politely declined as she believes that she will be dry sooner than I, of course whoever gets out of the pool first is buying the beers!!!

Now that IS cool.

Sometimes the best aviation stories have nothing to do with airplanes at all. It's the best news I've seen all week here on this board. They really ARE a cool company.

We all hope the best for your mom. She's obviously a great lady and raised quite a fine swimmer. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us Tred.
